Dry Needling

Learning to take control of your life starts with taking ownership of your health.

Dry needling treatment is able to reinvigorate the healing process for fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bone. By accessing all levels of our tissues, we can find relief from our acute or chronic pains to be able return to an active life, regain our joy, and attain our purpose!

What is Encountered?

Pain is so personal and customized to each one of us. No two bodies are exactly the same and neither are pain triggers (actions that cause pain) or pain mechanisms (the physiology of pain pathways) for each individual case. Sometimes, we have tried exercise or more superficial soft tissue treatments, and our pain still is present in all aspects of our lives. It feels as if it’s coming from the many deep layers of tissues in our bodies. Luckily, there is a solution to be able to access these exact areas of irritability.

What is Dry Needling and How Do You Benefit?

Whether you are preparing your body for competition to move optimally, want to decrease acute or chronic pain, or eliminate headaches that are limiting your productivity, dry needling is a quick and effective treatment solution that can access the pain source at all tissue levels. By inserting sterilized small needles into the areas of concern, we can:

  • Unlock trigger points that haven’t responded to other treatments
  • Improve the healing process by increasing blood flow through nitric oxide production
  • Stimulate the body to release its self-produced opioids (“pain medicine”) to block pain signals at your affected area and spinal column
  • Remodel scarring at all soft tissue levels to allow for maximal pain free movement
  • Stimulate collagen production to lay down new tissue for muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.
