Foot Physical Therapy

Learning to take control of your life starts with taking ownership of your health.

Like any new skill, discipline and practice are key. We often find that overcoming mental obstacles leads the way to the physical recovery. Let us help you get onto that right path!

What is Encountered?

In any environment, your body’s first assessment of how it’s going to respond and move is going to come from your feet. How your feet are able to absorb forces when it hits the ground, adapt, and change direction will determine how well you will move now, into older age, and how much other areas of your body may have to compensate. It is this type of compensation that will cause breakdown of your ankles, knees, hips, low back, and can even affect your posture. Any injury above the feet has a likelihood to have contributions from an injured foot. If this injury is never addressed and just lingers on, you’re selling the quality of your life short now and into the future. I’ve seen it, time and again.

How Do You Benefit From Our Help?

  1. Foot pain can have definitive contributions from your spine as the nerves from your back supply the muscles of your feet. And it not just your feet! The spine supplies the hips, quads, and legs. If the nerves are not firing on all cylinders, the muscles of those areas will not do their job and the muscles and the joints they protect become weak and injured. We can help you to quickly identify what needs to be addressed in an organized, optimized way, and target areas that need treatment to bring you back to the activities you love!
  2. If the spine is contributing to weakness this will need to be addressed quickly as you can exercise the injured foot until the cows come home and the muscles will still display decrease in strength and unable to sufficiently stabilize the joints of the foot because of poor nerve functioning. We can help ensure that that does not occur!
  3. Once the spine has been addressed, making sure your foot is moving normally, and you are moving functionally back towards the activities you love is done with customization reinforced by measurement.
  4. Are you trying to recover from foot surgery the fastest way possible? Not only do we do the above but we ensure that your high functioning tissue quality returns back through our advanced soft tissue treatments. Our ability to target weakened muscles that are contributing to pain and abnormal movements of your surgically repaired foot, will allow you pick up where you left off whether that is training for a marathon, resuming exercise classes, or pursuing that backpacking trip through the wilderness!
